Team History and Creation
Team K9 was founded in 2004 by nine (9) airsoft enthusiasts. The founding members wanted to establish an airsoft team based in the Kalookan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela areas, and promote and propagate the hobby of airsofting itself. The founding members were:
1. Mike Nocom
2. Ferdie Juancho
3. Ricky Salvador
4. Richard Yabut
5. Jun Mallari
6. Danny Juancho
7. Charlton Duran
8. Dennis Evasco
9. Nestor Gutierrez
The team found its home at #267 Road T. Santiago St. Valenzuela City – The Brick Factory gamesite which is owned by Mike Nocom’s family. The Brick Factory is accepted by the general airsoft community as one of the most challenging urban close quarter battle airsoft gamesites in the country. It is in fact the only gamesite with a working above ground tunnel system, which was the old brick stove formerly used in brick production.
With humble beginnings of nine (9) original members, the group has ballooned to a seventy (70) man strong contingent. The team has also joined various airsoft tournaments and national events.
The team has committed itself to enhance its member’s skills, tactics and camaraderie. Most of all, Team K9 has devoted itself to promote the sport of airsoft and support the airsoft community as a whole.
